Bio
My name is Linda Bertrand, and I am a Master’s prepared nurse with over 20 yrs. of Adult Critical Care experience, and over 30 yrs. as a Registered Nurse. Currently serves as a Senior Manager of Quality & Safety Improvement, Clinical Quality Consulting of Kaiser Foundation Hospital, Healthcare Plan at Kaiser Permanent, Northern California. Oversees a team of experience critical care virtual quality nurse consultants (VQNC’s) across 21 Kaiser Northern California integrated healthcare delivery system for the Advance Alert Monitor program. Moreover, I am a Distinguished Veteran Military Officer of the United States Armed Forces, and a Gulf War Veteran. With my combined leadership experience as a Nurse Leader and Officer of the U.S. Army, I have more than 30 years of leadership experience.
As a nurse leader, I have served in many capacities to include Director of Nursing, Director of Patient Care Services, Charge Nurse, ICU Manager, and House Supervisor. My passion and dedication are marked by proven record of improving patient care initiatives across the continuum of healthcare, managing quality improvement toward regulatory compliance, and supporting leadership toward peak performance. I have received several awards such as the Luminary Nightingale Award for Patient Advocacy during the COVID-19 Pandemic, and the Culture of Health Award consistently for two years in my current role. Led nurses who elevated their practice under my leadership which contributed to becoming Diasy Award Recipients based on their patients and family recommendations. Currently holds an RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS certification. In addition to Advance Nursing Collaboration, Advanced Practice Problem Solving, and Communication for Advanced Practice Certifications from the University of Phoenix.
